never have i met a couple more complimentary than christy and matt.  christy is the super-organized, well-composed girl, whereas matt is the ultra-supportive, easy-going guy.   together, these two could easily take over the world!  Before they do, however... here are some photos from their engagement a few months ago

this is cate and matt.  truly a force to be reckoned with - this pair of karate champions mean business.  i was fortunate enough, however,  to catch them on a day when it was all play!

white rock holds a special place in their hearts and so we rushed off to crescent beach to capture some moments and document their story.

lysa.javi|fun

lysa and javi - even the way their names are spelled tells you that this isn't your everyday couple. they were a bit hesitant to have their photos taken, but a pair this good-looking deserves to have the spotlight on them!

for their location, they chose a patch of land called spanish banks, which hosts a great off-leash dog area. this was the perfect place for "honey," their canine companion, to run around and just be a dog.

i knew my first beach session ever was off to a good start when the first frames from my camera looked like this

this is lysa's favourite (and definitely one of mine as well!)

by the time we were done with the session, i could see they were a lot more relaxed being in front of the camera. you could tell how laid-back they really were and that they knew how to have fun. congratulations, you two, can't wait to see the wedding photos!

this is cristina and dylan.  two of the most caring, devoted, in-love people i know - and i'm not just saying that because they're my friends.  i was given the honour of being one of dylan's groomsmen (which of course means i couldn't be their wedding photographer, but i had a hand in helping choose one for them.)  in the summer, i had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session and giving life to some ideas that i've been dying to try out for a while.  needless to say, these two brought those ideas to life without much effort - such is the magic that exists between them.  the perfect place for this lively couple: Playland!  nothing else says "vancouver" and "fun" better!

you and i are extravagant

when i say "extravagant" i'm not referring to a lavish or exorbitant lifestyle (though to them, they've already won the lottery of a different kind) no, when i say "extravagant" i'm talking about the love that jen and stefan have for each other.

i certainly hope these photos made you happy, though i'm sure they're are only a taste of things to come.

and i'm sure some people have been waiting to see these photos, and i wouldn't be living up to expectations if i didn't present these in due haste, so here we go - off to YVR airport!
