jodi.zoran|awaiting

awaiting might be an understatement... seems like these two were so ready for the new addition to their family that 4 days after this shoot, they gave birth to their lovely daughter - maya!

now i'm the one who can't wait to get some photos of her to share with the world!  congratulations!

the sweet anticipation

my personal favourite

the perfect cover photo for the next chapter of their family

here's to your new family, a new beginning and a new life!

fonseca.family|prosperity

so the fonseca family were expecting another member of their family to join them at any moment and they thought of me.  that is to say, they thought of having me photograph what would become my first maternity photoshoot!  and what fun it was (especially with jacob there) to capture some moments the few weeks before maya would come into the world!

you might remember jacob from a previous photo shoot i did with him.  well he's grown up so much since then (but just as adorable as ever!)  here are my faves from the day:

proud mother and father

i'm sure maya can feel that

big brother is already looking out for his little sister

thanks for letting me part of maya's "pre" history!  can't wait to take photos of her and share them.

i am precious

meet jacob. he just turned one year old not too long ago and has perfected his camera smile. he's a lot easier to work with than some of the model types i've shot in the past. he's an absolute natural in front of the lens and these photos prove it.

getting him to smile was easier than... taking candy from a baby?

he insisted that this was his favourite pose - who was i to argue?

a little easily distracted, but photogenic nonetheless!

working it

ah - the perfect picture!

thanks, jacob, for letting me take pictures of you! your professionalism is outstanding, and i look forward to seeing you on the cover of a magazine one of these days (just remember to tell them you already have a photographer ;)
