studio time

last week was the first time photographing in a studio. several stations were set up for shooting under different lighting conditions. at first i was nervous thinking i would screw something up or take too long trying to figure it out, but even though i had the oldest tripod that seemed out of place in a studio setting, i managed to get some good shots.
this is backlit (obviously)

this is lit from the front

this is indirect light

this is hard light - note the sharp shadows

this is where i would normally put the soft light photo, but of course it was out of focus so you couldn't tell if it was the light or green photographer. don't worry, i'll get better

this is high contrast

and of course, low contrast

that's all i have for now. perhaps i'll have more interesting shots to share this week.
